Don’t feel like cooking? Dig into a steak or light meal at our restaurant. Our hamburgers are great with the Chef’s homemade beef patties.


Treat a special person to a getaway in our honeymoon suite. The ideal lover’s nest, private and away from the other chalets with a beautiful view of the valley.


The ten sleeper chalets are ideal for large families who wish to share a single chalet to keep the cost down. There is One bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with two single beds as well as bathroom, kitchen lounge on ground floor. The upstairs room has six single beds and an extra bathroom.


“Birds Nest” is your typical backpackers accommodation for those large families or school groups that wish to stay together. There are 8 private rooms sleeping 4 per room and a communal living area, kitchen and ablution facilities…. We have four rooms with 1 double bed and 2 bunkers and the other four rooms have 4 bunkers.  It is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery for 28 people.


We have various choices of accommodation. There are 2-sleepers, 4-sleepers, 5-sleepers, 6-sleepers and 10-sleepers.We offer basic self – catering accommodation with the tools you need to have an affordable stay for the whole family.


We do have camping facilities for the more adventurous. Electrical outlets are available.

The Zulu ancestors first settled in Zululand in the late 1700 and brought forth great Kings and warriors like Shaka, Dingaan, Mpanda and Dinizulu.  WithThangami Safari Spa’snatural warm water source, unique mud fountains, with medical and cosmetic properties as well as the big variety game and bird life, is it no wonder that this area formed part of the hunting grounds of the Zulu Monarque.   Mpanda was crowned King of the Zulus by Commander Andries Pretorius on 14 February 1884, at Mpanda’s rock just below Thangami in the valley.
